In the last week of August, we helped students get ready for the new school year with our annual Back-to-School Giveaways! Supporting students in grades K–8, the giveaways help local youth head back to school feeling prepared and excited to learn. This year’s events took place at Astoria Love Family Enrichment Center, Ravenswood Cornerstone, and Queensbridge Community Center, reaching more than 500 students across the community.
This special effort was made possible through the generous support of the Amazin’ Mets Foundation, New York Cares, Council Member Julie Won, Council Member Tiffany Cabán, CCA Metro, Korean Community Services, the NY State Senator Gonzalez’s office, our generous donors, and dedicated volunteers. Our whole community came together to provide school supplies, smiles, and a strong start to the year. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s Back-to-School Giveaway a success!
