Teen participants at Riis’ Ravenswood Cornerstone program nominated staff members Denise Rumola (assistant director) and Jill Moore (administrative assistant) for “Community Mom” awards from the Department of Youth and Community Development. The 2022 Community Moms celebration recognized resilient women across NYC for having a positive impact on their families, friends, and communities, and for opening doors for themselves and others. Over 70 participants joined to hear the honorees’ inspiring stories. Congratulations to Denise and Jill, who are clearly well-loved by Riis participants and staff alike!
