Winter Celebrations in our NNORC!

Our NNORC program hosted several cultural celebrations over the past two months, including a Lunar New Year celebration in late January to welcome the Year of the Wood Snake! Sixty attendees gathered at our Older Adult Center to celebrate with games such as Chinese bingo and marbles. Everyone enjoyed traditional foods, including shrimp lo mein, spring rolls, egg rolls, and dumplings. At the end of the event, all party-goers received gift bags.

In mid-February, the team hosted a combined celebration for Black History Month and Valentine’s Day at the Crab Shanty Restaurant on City Island. Fifty older adults participated in the celebration, enjoying each other’s company and great food. We look forward to seeing where our NNORC members will go next!
