On Saturday, May 20th, Riis joined over 100 community organizations and businesses for LIC Springs, an annual community block festival along Vernon Boulevard run by the LIC Partnership. Staff from Riis Settlement enjoyed talking with community members, sharing information about our programs and services, giving out Riis swag, and offering henna art! Despite the rain, the event saw an amazing turnout and featured some fantastic live music, games, art, fitness classes, food, performances, and more.
