Community Baby Shower Supports 80+ Queens Families

Our Pregnancy and New Parent Program brought families together for a Community Baby Shower at the Queensbridge Community Center. The event provided more than 80 families with essential baby supplies, safety education, and connections to local resources to help parents and caregivers feel prepared and supported. It also created a welcoming space for families to celebrate the journey into parenthood.

The baby shower was made possible through the generous support of the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, the primary funder of our Pregnancy and New Parent Program. We’re also grateful to the many dedicated partners who participated, including The Floating Hospital, Anthem, Birth By Queens, the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Healthy Start @ NYCHA, Astoria Food Pantry, Queens Childcare Network, MetroChildren, Hispanic Federation, Public Health Solutions, Queens Public Library, Urban Upbound, the New Family Home Visits Initiative, the NYC Department of Homeless Services, and MetroPlusHealth.

Special thanks to Tonette Rivera for generously providing a 360 photo booth free of charge, adding an extra element of fun for families, and to Mr. Ox for providing photography services. Together, our funder and partners helped make the day a meaningful celebration of new and growing families.
