After the holy month of Ramadan, Riis welcomed community members of all backgrounds to our Queensbridge Community Center for an Eid celebration. Muslims and non-Muslims came together for a complimentary Halal dinner and gifts. We also offered face painting and henna art, which were greatly enjoyed by children and adults alike. Lastly, we were happy to welcome Council Member Julie Won to share a meal with us and say a few words to those who attended. Riis Settlement is committed to celebrating the diversity of our community, and we were glad to offer a space to observe this year’s Eid. Thank you to our staff who made this event possible!
