Our Older Adult Services celebrated their annual summer trip to Krucker’s Picnic Grounds in Pomona, NY, on August 13. Riis staff and more than 100 participants from our Older Adult Center joined older adults from Astoria, Ravenswood, and Woodside Houses for the event, generously sponsored by Rise Light & Power. In total, nearly 400 older adults came together for a day of connection and fun.
Guests enjoyed dancing, bingo, scenic views, a delicious all-you-can-eat buffet, and the refreshing swimming pool. This annual gathering has become a beloved tradition, fostering community, joy, and lasting memories.
