NNORC Trip to D.C.

Recently, our NNORC program embarked on its annual overnight trip to Washington, D.C. Nearly 40 older adult members traveled from Queensbridge to D.C., with a stop in Maryland on the return journey.

While in D.C., the group spent the day exploring the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. That evening, they enjoyed a lively dinner at Golden Corral, sharing stories and highlights from their day.

The adventure continued the next morning with a shopping trip to Maryland’s Arundel Mills Mall, followed by lunch at the historic Maryland House before returning home to New York.

This annual trip is more than just a fun outing—it’s a great chance for our older adults to connect, explore, and spend time together. Social activities like this play an important role in supporting the health and well-being of our aging community. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
