Eid Al-Fitr Celebration

Riis recently hosted our fourth annual Eid al-Fitr Celebration at our Queensbridge Community Center with 80 people in attendance. In Islam, Eid marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, reflection, and spiritual growth. Throughout the holy month, and especially during Eid, communities come together to celebrate their faith and strengthen bonds in a spirit of unity. This year, we honored that spirit of community with a delicious feast featuring halal food from Truva Cafe & Grill.

We were joined by Fantastic Faces by Ana, who delighted guests with colorful face painting and sparkles, and Henna Art by Fathima, who created beautiful and unique henna designs. A few lucky guests also won raffle baskets!

Riis is proud to bring our diverse community together through welcoming gatherings like our Eid celebration. Until next year!
