Congrats to our UNH Scholarship Awardee!

Riis is proud to share that our Ravenswood Cornerstone Program Director, Denise Rumola, has been selected for the UNH Emily Menlo Marks Academic Year Award. This competitive scholarship recognizes settlement house staff who exemplify skill, leadership, and commitment to their communities.

Denise is currently studying at the University of Phoenix, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Human Resources. She is not only advancing her academic career, but also hopes to bring her growing expertise back to Riis:

“I hope to utilize my skills and grow in different areas at Riis. Human resources plays a crucial role in supporting workers and ensuring a positive, efficient, and fair workplace environment. Having previously worked in human resources, I’ve come to realize that my true passion lies in supporting associates and contributing to a company’s success through strong internal support.” – Denise Rumola

We are proud to congratulate Denise and another Riis colleague who also received this award on their accomplishments, and we wish them continued success in their educational journeys.
