On November 15, we hosted our 18th Annual Fall Family Feast, a cherished tradition that continues to bring our community together in warmth and celebration. Thanks to the generosity of the Amazin’ Mets Foundation, Councilmember Julie Won, and Senator Kristen Gonzalez, this year’s feast was a resounding success. With the help of over 200 dedicated volunteers from Wellspring Church, ConEd, Schrödinger, NYU, Baruch, the NYC Social Work Ladies Club, LIC YMCA, and more, we were able to serve 1,200 meals to families across Queensbridge, Ravenswood, and to our home-bound neighbors. The energy was electric, with DJ Funkychild keeping spirits high and ensuring the dance floor was full.
This annual gathering is more than just a meal; it’s a celebration of community and connection. For nearly two decades, the Fall Family Feast has been a reminder of what we can accomplish when we all come together with a shared purpose. We are deeply grateful to our incredible volunteers who gave their time, and to our sponsors whose support makes this event possible.
In addition to our grand feast, our Older Adult Center, in partnership with Plaxall, held a turkey giveaway on November 20, giving away 100 free turkeys!
Together, we continue to strengthen bonds and ensure that every family feels the warmth of belonging during the holiday season.
