New Staff Arrivals at Riis Settlement!

Peter Rivera, Director of Senior Services (top), and Oshea Moye, Program Coordinator (below), are the two newest additions to the Jacob Riis Settlement Staff.

Peter Rivera, our new Director of Senior Services, has served in the nonprofit sector for over ten years, most recently as Program Director of the flagship community outreach program of the Big Apple Circus providing services at pediatric hospitals across the country. Peter is a native New Yorker and graduate of CUNY’s Hunter College, where his course of study focused on philosophy and sociology. When not working with our seniors, Peter spends his time at home with wife, Isabel, and their two young sons.

Oshea Moye is the Program Coordinator at Riis Settlement’s brand-new Cornerstone Project at the Ravenswood Community Center. She has worked with prominent organizations in the field of youth & community development for 18 years and is well-versed in providing quality services that include leadership, character development, career/education exploration, life skills, social development and performing arts.
